How to use the Matrices

As you explore the matrices, you will be able to see when a particular Priority Performance Indicator (PPI) is used, at which grade level, and how many times over a student’s K-12 educational experience. 

For grades K-5, the IRIS and Transferable Skills PPIs are shared across the content areas and labeled by the unit number (“U2”).

For grades 6-12, you will see codes used to indicate the content area, grade level, and unit number. For example, “M6.2” means that the PPI is integrated into the 2nd Unit, in 6th Grade, in Mathematics. For grades 9-12, the courses are aligned to the grade in the chart below:
