Our second just-in-time session—What AREN’T We Talking About? Discussing Inequity in Our Schools and Communities—is focused on the roles of language and relationships in confronting inequity, with a particular focus on racial inequity.
In this 75-minute session, we will:
- Frame the role of discourse in naming and confronting inequities
- Explore different types of discourse
- Frame how inequity is reinforced by what we don’t discuss
- Engage in small group conversations about what needs to be discussed in your context, and possible action steps for moving forward
- Share tools and resources you can use in your school and community
