Creating a Shared Vision: Portrait of a Graduate and Strategic Planning
A Portrait of a Graduate is a vision that articulates the collective hopes and dreams a community has for its students– including the skills and attributes all students need for college, career, and life. This session focuses on how to create and sustain a community-driven PoG and aligned strategic plan that is both equitable and actionable.
The Great Schools Partnership’s Portrait of a Graduate Toolkit provides resources to meaningfully engage a diverse strategic planning team that includes community partners, families, students, and staff. This inclusive approach ensures an equitable and representative process that unites the community around a clear vision and collective strategic plan. The session will include real-world examples from school districts across New England and offer hands-on opportunities to explore, develop, and work with tools that bring a PoG to life.
Whether you’re launching a PoG initiative or looking to strengthen your current implementation, you’ll walk away with ideas, tools, and strategies to ensure your vision becomes a living, lasting part of your school or district’s culture.
