New England Reimagining College Access Collaborative: Technical Webinar #3
Great Schools Partnership, in collaboration with the Learning Policy Institute, is facilitating the New England Reimagining College Access Collaborative Community of Practice. This exciting regional initiative is designed to explore how the use of K-12 performance assessments can provide better information about students’ preparedness for higher education. Through this initiative, we seek to engage with professionals from college admissions and secondary schools across New England who are interested in employing strategies to attract, select, and support a more diverse student body.
Technical Webinar #3 –Performance Assessment, Transferable Skills, and College Admission: Making the Connection
2:30-3:30 p.m. ET on Thursday, April 1, 2021 via Zoom
Throughout this academic year, the New England Reimagining College Access Collaborative has brought together high school educators and college admission officers to work together to create more equitable paths to college admissions, particularly through student demonstration of transferable skills. In this webinar, we will be hearing from a Vermont high school where all students gather evidence of meeting the school’s transferable skills. Participants in the webinar will use the student and teacher perspectives to talk about how this might be used in college admissions.
NOTE: We will be recording this event, so please register even if you’re unable to attend live so we can send you the recording.
